Music Summer School 2008

The Wesley Annual Summer School was held in Abaco, July 4 – July 11, 2008.

The 2008 Summer School programme was expanded to include Spanish, tennis and Music.

The Wesley Annual Summer School will be held in Abaco, July 04 – July 11, 2008.

The purpose of the summer school is to provide young people with an interest in music:

• an opportunity to interact with other young persons and skilled musicians;
• an experience which will foster the development of their skills;
• a greater appreciation of the cultural expressions of the Bahamas.

Activities included: Devotions, Music instruction (practical & theory), Recreational activities, and public performance by the combined band

In addition to the Summer School, there was a camp for members of the Wesley College Band (Abaco), and Wesley Church Band (Nassau).

• July 10 - Abaco Cultural Foundation's Independence Ball - Treasure Cay, 6:30 P.M.

• 11:00 A.M. Worship at Aldersgate Methodist Church. Special music by The Wesley College Band and Wesley Church Band
